(Persia Digest) – The first Smart City Expo will take place in Tehran with the participation of large domestic companies and a number of foreign companies.
Domestic and foreign products and solutions for smart cities will be showcased from 13-16 February 2018 at the “Shahr-e Aftab” exhibition center.
A number of large companies active in products for smart cities in East Asia and Europe are likely to be present at the fair.
The exhibition is held in the main groups of information and communications technology, modern transport, intelligent traffic control, e-commerce and modern building technologies.
The exhibition is directed at IT companies, city mayors and officials of regional countries, traders and representative offices of various countries in Iran, representatives of Islamic City Councils of large cities, senior officials and provincial administrators, universities and scientific and research centers, and consulting companies and contractors.
According to the statistical data for 2016, with its 1245 towns, eight greater cities, and an economy centered on urban areas, Iran is forging ahead in this area. The urbanization process in Iran is expected to reach 85% within the next 34 years.
