(Persia Digest) – The Qingdao Film Festival has opened in China. Four films from Iran will also be screened at the Festival.
Selected works from member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) will be screened here in the three categories of public showing, competition, and special perspective. It will run until 17 June 2018 in Qingdao, China.
The Iranian films being screened here are “Iran burger” by Masoud Jafari-Jozani, “The mermaid” by Masoud Agha Babayan, “The dragonfly pond” by Mohammad-Reza Arab, and “Track 143” by Narges Abyar. A six-strong artistic delegation representing the Iranian cinema is also at the Festival.
Persia Digest reports that, based on MoUs signed between Iran and China over the past years, cultural weeks have been staged between the two countries, together with a variety of Iranian film weeks.
