From live music to puppetry in the Artists Forum

(Persia Digest) – The Artists Forum in Tehran is holding its grand Spring festival from 22 March till 1 April as “Tehran – The city of arts”.

The Festival has been arranged together with Tehran City Council for the Nowruz holidays. It includes exhibitions of visual arts, live classical Persian and international music, traditional plays, Naghali, and puppetry. The programs are from 16h00 to 22h00, 22 March-1 April 2018, at the Artists Forum.

Exhibitions are held at the Momayez Gallery for paintings, Zemestan Gallery for sculptures, Payiz Gallery for Graphics, Mirmiran Gallery for pottery and ceramics, Nami Gallery for Calligraphy, Bahar Gallery for photography, and Tabestan Gallery for illustrations.

Naghali programs also begin at 18h00 with Sara Abbaspour and Mohammad-Reza Majouni. The puppetry is supervised by Keramat Rudsaz.

The second and third parts of the program include programs from Kurdistan, Azerbaijan, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Hormozgan, Khorasan, and Luristan provinces. Live music will be played by the Danube band led by Ashkan Mokhtarband, and Ecoland band led by Mohammad Mohammadlu, accompanied by the guitar, Kakhan, and other instruments.

Offstage comedy programs are performed every day by the “Honar va Andisheh” group led by Keramat Rudsaz. The final part is dedicated to folk music. Bands from Luristan, Azerbaijan, Khorasan, Kurdistan, Guilan, Talesh, and the southern provinces of Iran will be performing here. The presenter will be Arash Kohdakarami.
