(Persia Digest) - The Iranian Minister of Energy has described the latest details of Iran's electricity exchanges with neighboring countries and the possibility of connecting to the European electricity grid.

Referring to Iran's electricity exchanges with neighboring countries, Reza Ardakaniyan said: "In addition to using the opportunity of exchanging electricity with our neighboring countries, we are also going to join the European electricity grid via these countries.”

He added: “Currently, Iran has the possibility to exchange energy with its neighboring countries, including Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Iraq.”

He continued: “We intend to provide better facilities for private and domestic investment in developing renewable energies.”
