(Persia Digest) – Iranian artists in the fields of music and cinema are donating the proceeds from ticket sales to the victims of the massive earthquake that rattled western Iran on 13 November 2017.
The Molana Band led by Mohammad-Jalil Andalibi who is planning a concert with sad themes on 28 November at the Vahdat Hall will be sending part of the proceeds to the earthquake victims of western Iran.
Mohammad-Jalil Andalibi said: "With the help of the dear people of Iran, we will dedicate a part of the proceeds to the deadly earthquake and its victims whose homes collapsed yesterday."
A day of public mourning has been announced in Iran today and all artistic programs in the country have been canceled. The Art and Experience Cinema Group in Kerman has also donated ticket sales proceeds for 15 admissions to the victims of the earthquake in Kermanshah.
Given the unfavorable conditions of our fellow citizens following Sunday night’s earthquake in Kermanshah Province, the entire proceeds for ticket sales for three admissions on Monday 13 November, Tuesday 14 November, Wednesday 15 November, Thursday 16 November, and Friday 17 November will be sent to the province.
The proceeds for the latest documentary “Drums of War” directed by Seyed Vahid Hosseini will also be sent to the earthquake victims for the screenings on 15 November at the Artists Forum at 16h00, and Kurosh Cinema at 20h00.
The performance of the National Orchestra scheduled for tonight, Tuesday 14 November, has also been postponed.
The “Torang” band will be holding a special concert to commemorate the earthquake victims and part of the proceeds will be sent to Kermanshah.
The “Torang” band managed by Borzu Amiri will hold a concert on Friday 24 November 2017 at 18h00 at “Talar Andishe-ye Hozeh Honar”.
