(Persia Digest) – Over the past week, films from Iran have shined at festivals in the feature and short film categories. “The Salesman” and “Starless Dreams” were chosen as best foreign film and documentary at the Silk Road International Film Festival in China, and the short film “Retouch” and “Run Rostam Run” animation also won best films at festivals in France and Poland.

At the Silk Road International Film Festival in China, “The Salesman” directed by Asghar Farhadi won the Best Foreign Language Film Award, and “Starless Dreams” by Mehrdad Oskuei won the Best Documentary Award. They will now be screened at the Golden Silk Road International Festival in China.

146 films in Chinese and 588 films in foreign languages from 67 regional and Silk Road countries had been entered at the Fuzhou Festival. 26 films were selected for the 5th Golden Silk Road International Festival.

“Starless Dreams” has already been screened at the 66th Berlin Film Festival in the Competition category, and “The Salesman” has won the Best Foreign Language Film Award at the Oscars.

The short film “Retouch” also from Iran won the 35th Tous Courts Festival Award in France as another one of its achievements.

“Run Rostam Run” is an animation directed by Hossein Molayemi won the Award of Distinction from the 8th Film Festival in Poland.
