(Persia Digest) – Iran’s supervisor of the Customs Transit Office said: “The volume of foreign goods transiting through Iran has increased by 13% in the past nine months.”
Hossein Salari said: “During this period, the transit of goods to more than 100 countries has been done through the integrated electronic customs system.”
He added: “Over the past nine months, an estimated 541 thousand and 988 transit trucks have passed through the customs, showing an increase in weight of transit goods of 9% as compared to a similar period last year.
He continued by saying: “The share of transited foreign goods amounts to 8MM and 267 thousand and 953 tons, an increase of 13%, leading to a boom in land and sea transport.
