Asghar Farhadi has written a note on the recent unrests in Iran.
The text is as follows:
“Questions, humiliation, anger
Over the past days, a number of my friends and compatriots have been asking about my thoughts on the recent protests in my country.

The feature film “Salesman” Directed by two-time Oscar winner Asghar Farhadi has made the list of Best Movies of 2017. The Metacritic website has also chosen “Starless Dreams” as one of the best movies of this year.
Farhadi film 12th most awaited for 2018
Twice Oscar winner Asghar Farhadi’s latest movie “Everybody knows” filmed in Spain has been listed on the 100 most awaited movies of 2018.
The Playlist website has released its top movie list at the end of 2017 for Christmas. Its first five selected features are “Ladybird”, “Dunkirk”, “The Florida Project”, “The Shape of Water”, and “Blade Runner 2049”.
Silk Road success for Iranian films
Over the past week, films from Iran have shined at festivals in the feature and short film categories. “The Salesman” and “Starless Dreams” were chosen as best foreign film and documentary at the Silk Road International Film Festival in China, and the short film “Retouch” and “Run Rostam Run” animation also won best films at festivals in France and Poland.
