The rate of burn incidents is eight times the global average as per the latest official statistics. According to Dr Mohammad Hadi Ayazi, Deputy Minister of Health, the burn rate in Iran is eight times the global average; these statistics suggest that our actions and those of the authorities must include safety measures.

The Research Deputy at the Ministry of Health and Education has announced the conclusion of over 150 research projects with Germany, and said: “Most of the joint projects to be conducted with the German Ministry of Health are cancer research projects.” Dr med, Deputy Malekzadeh, added: “The Ministry of Health has conducted many joint research programs with Germany over the years and a number of the 22 scientific research projects reviewed at the Science Day ceremony also belong to the Ministry of Health.”

2nd International clinical oncology congress

The 2nd annual international clinical oncology congress, and the 12th national congress, wrapped up today 23 December 2017. This 2-day congress, 22-23 December, organized by the Iranian Society of Clinical Oncology (ISCO) aims to treat and control cancer, transfer knowledge, and share scientific achievements. 230 papers were received here, of which 80 were printed as posters.
