First woman historian in the lens of Derakhshandeh
“Mah Ashraf Khanoum Ghaderi”, known as Mostureh, is the first Iranian woman historian. Pioneer filmmaker, Pouran Derakhshandeh will be catching the life of this poet and historian on film in a television series.

“Retouch” has won the Best Short Film Award at the Dublin International Film Festival. “Retouch” is directed by Kaveh Mazaheri. As of today, it has won numerous awards at international festivals. “At dinner time” and cinema politics
Ebrahim Hatamikia’s “At dinner time” is being screened at the Fajr International Film Festival this year. He has spoken about the possibility of its screening in the Middle East and other parts of the world at a press conference.
Abbas Kiarostami honored in Brussels
The late Iranian director, Abbas Kiarostami, will be honored in Brussels with the screening of two of his films. The movies “24 Frames” and “Take me home” by the late Kiarostami will be screened here together with “76 Hours and 15 seconds with Abbas Kiarostami” by Seifollah Samadian on 16 and 25 January at the Center for Fine Arts in Brussels, Belgium.
Iranian couple win Indian Deaf Film Festival
An Iranian couple have won the Short Film Award in the international category of 5th Indian International Deaf Film Festival 2017.
“Melody” is directed by Fatemeh Lotfi and Behruz Ghassemi. The screening also drew a large, welcoming audience.
Iran-France women filmmakers week
Iran-France women filmmakers’ week is running at the Artists Forum in Tehran 27 November – 2 December 2017.
Six films from Iran and six films from France will be screened and critiqued by Iranian and French directors.

34th International Short Film Festival
Tehran’s 34th Short Film Festival is to run 17-22 October 2017 with showings of documentaries and fictions in national and international categories at the Mellat cinema.
