Too loud a solitude – Chaotic mind on stage
“Too loud a solitude” is a play by Afshin Ghaffarian from France which was staged during the first days of Fajr International Theater Festival in Tehran. It was an attempt to reveal the invisible mind through body and form on the objective stage; an effort of unfinished aesthetics to bring together the two ends of the mental and physical theaters on stage.
Eight plays in four days of Festival
Plays by Germany, France, Azerbaijan, Italy, and Belgium are being staged on the fourth day of the Fajr International Theater Festival in its international category.
Renault’s Iran market
The French automakers Renault exported over 162 thousand cars to Iran in 2017, making this their eight largest market in the world. Renault sales in Iran shows a rise of 49.3% as compared to a similar period last year. In the months of January through to December 2016, France exported over 108 thousand and 536 cars to the Iranian market.

Dr Ali Rafi’i, pioneer of Iranian theater is celebrating 80 years of his life. He is planning workshops for nine plays from scriptwriters around the world to stage new versions of these soon.
Iran’s Theater hosts French plays
This year’s Fajr International Theater Festival in Iran is hosting various groups from around the world, and French theater companies will be staging a number of innovative plays, including “Shirtology” by Jérôme Bel, and a play by Jassem Hindi.
Rouhani and Macron hold telephone conversation
President Hassan Rouhani called President Macron of France Tuesday evening to wish the government and people of France a Happy New Year. He expressed hope that the good relations between the two countries will persevere and deepen in 2018.

Two more ATRs land in Iran
Two more ATR 72-600 series which were dispatched from France last night landed in Mehrabad Airport in Tehran this morning.
Following the Iran nuclear agreement of 2015, the JCPOA, with world powers and sanctions relief, Iran's Aviation Industry has signed an agreement for the purchase of 100 passenger planes with the French Airbus, 80 Boeings with the US, and 20 ATRs. Eight of the latter and three airbuses have been delivered to Iran Air.
Persian Speakers in Europe Art Festival 2018
The first Persian Speakers in Europe Art Festival will open in January 2018 in the two visual arts and music categories. It will run from 13-20 January in Paris. The visual arts category will open as from January 8th.
“Starless dreams” in 24 French cinema theaters
“Starless dreams”, a feature documentary by Mehrdad Oskuei, has been screened in 24 cinema theaters in France during the documentary film month.
Every year, Le Centre national du cinéma et de l'image animée or CNC (the National Centre for Cinema and the Moving Image) screens French and foreign documentaries during the documentary film month throughout France.
Favorite cars in Iran
The results of a survey conducted by Iran Standard & Quality Inspection Co (ISQI) show that an estimated 35% of the participants named the 4-wheel drive cars as their favorite in this country, while most of the cars on the road here are saloon cars.
Golestan turns down “Cahiers du Cinéma”
The Iran Film Week will kick off in Paris next week, organized by “Cahiers du Cinéma” editor and film critique Jean-Michel Frodon. A lack of invitation to Masoud Kimiaei, however, prompted Iranian filmmaker Ebrahim Golestan to turn down an invitation to the film week.
