It has taken immediate action by setting a single price of tomans 4200 for the US dollar; but, reports indicate exchange offices are refusing to sell the dollar at this price and all exchanges have come to a halt.

Seven Iranians martyred in Israeli strikes on Syria

The bodies of seven Iranian military advisors martyred in an Israeli attack on an air base near Palmyra have been flown back to Tehran. Persia Digest reports that Israel fired eight missiles in the early hours of Monday morning, 9 April 2018, targeting the military airport of T4, in Homs, Syria, killing and wounding a number of people. Seven Iranian advisors were killed in the strike.

Shakespeare’s tragedies have been played in Iran on numerous occasions. Although his comedies have not been in the public eye as much, yet they too have many followers. “Twelfth Night” is one of these lesser seen plays on the Iranian stage these days. This lasting piece of work has been playing in Molavi Playhouse in Tehran by a young crew, directed by Mohsen Sadeghi-Esfahani.

This price has been set for all commodity groups, conditional on providing the necessary documents for the allocation of foreign currency. Travelers can buy and take USD 500 out of the country, delivered to them at airport gates.

Iran resumes gas swap with Turkmenistan

Iran resumes gas swap with Turkmenistan

The gas swap deal with Turkmenistan through Iran resumed on 28 April 2018 following negotiations between the two countries’ leaders. As reported by Persia Digest, the swap through Iran came to a halt in January due to the low quality of gas exported by Turkmenistan. Following negotiations, the order was issued on 27 April to resume this on 28 April.
