Substantial foreign investment in Iran stock exchange
The Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Organization of Iran said: “Presently, over 20 thousand billion rials worth of foreign investment has been made in the Iranian stock exchange, mostly following the JCPOA 2015 nuclear agreement with world powers.”
11th International Festival of Cinema Verité
The 11th Cinema Verité film festival will run from 9-16 December 2017 in Tehran with 102 films from 46 participating countries.
In this edition, opening tomorrow, a total of 227 films will be screened in the two national and international categories, with 124 films from Iran and 103 from 46 other countries.
British Foreign Secretary in Tehran
British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson has landed in Tehran for meetings with his Iranian counterpart and other officials.
He will initially meet with Iran’s FM Javad Zarif, followed by a meeting with Ali Shamkhani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran.
Ebrahim Monsefi: Southern Iran Music Pioneer
Ebrahim Monsefi, also known as “Nima of the South”, left this world 20 years ago on a day such as this one. He was a pioneer of the music of southern Iran. His melodies, inspired by the music of Iran’s southern province, and modern poetry and arrangement, transformed this folk music of Hormozgan Province into a world music still heard on many lips.

Mexico City 2017 Para Sport Festival has wrapped up with Iran ranking first in the men’s section, and China in the men and women’s section.

Iran World Freestyle Wrestling Clubs Champion
(Persia Digest) – In the finals of the 4th World Wrestling Clubs Cup that took place at Tehran’s Azadi Sports Complex, the Easy Pipe team from Kashan Province representing Iran won 6-4 over the Titan Mercury Club from the US to become world champions for the third time in four freestyle wrestling championships.
Iran-France play from Mantegho-Teir
The play “From now on” has a script inspired by a Mantegho-Teir story written by 12th-century author Attar of Nishapur. It is a joint Iran-France production.
As reported by Mehr News Agency “From now on” will go on stage on 17 December 2017 in the main Mowlavi Theater Hall at 20h30 for a limited period of time.

In a positive assessment of the international program for the protection of the Asian Cheetah, the Deputy Head of Iran's Environmental Organization announced the allocation of 500MM tomans to the project.
Euros 250MM donates by Italian for Persepolis
Shiraz University President has announced that an Italian benevolent person will donate euros 250MM for the revival of “Tall-e Ajori” gate in Persepolis, and added: “Over the past decade, “Tall-e Ajori” gate has been studied in collaboration with Bologna University.”
Neolithic period stone tools in Kohgiluyeh
Stone tools from the "Pre-Pottery Neolithic" period have been found in “Bibi Zileikha Sugh” in Kohgiluyeh & Boyer Ahmad.
The Neolithic Period is the last one in the Stone Age which is divided to two eras: The Pre-Pottery Neolithic (PPNA) and the Pottery Neolithic.
Kamancheh and Polo Unesco registered
“Polo with music and narration” has been registered by Iran and “The art of making and playing the kamancheh” has been registered mutually by Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan at the 12th session of the Committee for Intangible Cultural Heritage - Unesco – bringing the number of registered intangible heritages for Iran to 13, including Nowruz, flat bread baking skills, and the kamancheh which are multinational registrations.
