“Everybody Knows” presold

“Everybody Knows” presold

Asghar Farhadi’s latest film “Everybody Knows” will open the 2018 Cannes Film Festival. It has already been presold to over 20 countries by Memento Pictures. As reported by Variety, Memento Pictures will screen the movie on 9 May, a day after the Cannes Festival opening, in 350 cinema theaters in France. Universal Pictures will follow suit in September in Spain.

“Su va Shun” goes Italian

The Italian translation of the timeless novel by prominent Iranian author, Simin Daneshvar, was unveiled on the opening day of the Milan Book Fair. Brioschi Editore, in association with Shahr-e Ketab Cultural Center in Iran, has already published four other Persian novels, namely Nelle Stanze Della Soffitta by Tahereh Alave, La Scelta di Sudabeh, by Fattaneh Haj Seyed Javadi, Tehran Le Lumache Fanno Rumore by Zahra Abdi, and I Giorni Che Non Ho Vissuto by Leyla Qasemi.

Polar ice caps pianist comes to Tehran

Italian pianist and composer, Ludovico Einaudi, creator of the soundtracks for “This Is England”, “Fly”, “I'm Still Here”, and the TV miniseries “Doctor Zhivago”, is traveling to Iran to perform at the Ministry of the Interior concert hall in Tehran in April 2018. Einaudi’s performances will be on 25-26 April 2018. He will be accompanied by a 5-member orchestra and a crew of sound, light, and backline technicians. This is his first appearance on the Iranian stage. Orchestra members include cellist Radii Hassa, violinist Federico Mecozzi, guitarist Francesco Arcuri, percussionist de Riccardo Laganà, and bassist Alberto Fabris.
