Hamedan hosts World Tourism Summit

An MoU has been signed between the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization of Iran and the World Tourism Organization to hold the World Tourism Summit in Hamedan, Hamedan Province, western Iran. The MoU was signed on Thursday during a trip to Germany by the Organization Deputy, Mohammad Moheb-Khodaei, at the 40th meeting of the World Tourism Organization summit for members.

The Minister of Economy of and the Minister of the Russian Trade and Economic Development Council have signed MoUs in Moscow’s President Hotel on Tuesday 6 March 2018. The Russian Ministry of Energy and the Petroleum Ministry of Iran will be working together on the geology of the Iran-India-Pakistan gas pipeline project, financing and investing in Iranian Industries and Mines, and joint research and development in the field of natural resources and the Caspian seabed.

An MoU has been signed between Iran's Industrial Development and Renovation Organization (IDRO) and the Indian Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited ONGC VIDISH for the development of the Susangerd oilfield in the southern Khuzestan Province of Iran. IDRO CEO, Nasrollah Zare’ei, said: “A similar MoU has been signed with the Russian Zarubezhneft petrochemical company and, together with the MoU signed with India, we intend to form a consortium.”

Khorasan music week honors dotar musician

Khorasan music week will begin in Tehran tomorrow, honoring dotar player Osman Mohammad-Parast. Khorasan music week celebrates the folk music of Iran and promotes young musicians of the genre. It will run from 5-9 March 2018, sponsored by the Institute of Iranian Arts and Culture. Five music bands will be performing at the event being held in Ferdowsi Hall os the Humanities Forum.
