(Persia Digest) – The late Iranian director, Abbas Kiarostami, will be honored in Brussels with the screening of two of his films.

The movies “24 Frames” and “Take me home” by the late Kiarostami will be screened here together with “76 Hours and 15 seconds with Abbas Kiarostami” by Seifollah Samadian on 16 and 25 January at the Center for Fine Arts in Brussels, Belgium.

Agnès Devictor, Iranian cinema critique, and her spouse Jean-Michel Frodon will be introducing these pictures.

Abbas Kiarostami, Iranian director and scriptwriter, began his career in the cinema in 1970 and made over 40 feature, short, and documentary films. Some of his important works include “Close Up” (1990), “Taste of Cherry” (1997), and “The wind will carry us” (1999). In the latter part of his career, he also made films outside Iran, such as “Certified copy” (2010), and “Like someone in love” (2012). Kiarostami passed away on 5 July 2016 in Paris following a period of illness.
