(Persia Digest) – The 2018 BAFTA Awards lineup includes Asghar Farhadi’s “Salesman”, “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri”, “The Darkest Hour” starring Gary Oldman, and “The Shape of Water” by Guillermo del Toro.

As reported by Hollywood Reporter, only two days after “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” won the most Golden Globe Awards, it also received nine nominations for BAFTA. Asghar Farhadi’s “Salesman” has also been nominated for Best Foreign Film Award. Other nominations in this category include “Elle” by Paul Verhoeven, “They Killed My Father” by Angelina Jolie, “The Handmaiden” by Chan-Wook Park, and “Loveless” by Andrey Zvyagintsev.

“Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” has been nominated for Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Director, and Best Supporting Actor among others. “The Darkest Hour” has been nominated for nine awards including cinematography. “The Shape of Water” tops the list with 12 nominations.

The awards ceremony will be held at the Royal Albert Hall in London on 18 February.
