(Persia Digest) – BBC Monitoring has tweeted: “Analysis of more than 14,000 tweets from last month which used #WeSupportPolandSummit, found that the majority of posts originated from just 8 accounts. The summit is largely viewed as a US bid to deter other nations from cooperating with Iran. Anti-establishment chatter has used the hashtag #WeSupportPolandSummit. The desired effect appears to be to artificially create a trend which hints at popular support for the summit and - by extension - widespread resentment towards the Iranian establishment.”

Persia Digest (PD) reports that the Warsaw Conference on “Peace and Security in the Middle East” will begin today. Many countries have boycotted the summit which has been organized by the US to put pressure on Iran. It has not been welcomed by European countries, China, and Russia. High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, Turkey, Iraq, Lebanon, the Palestinian National Authority, and Syria have also refrained from attending the summit. The UK Foreign Secretary, Jeremy Hunt, has announced that he will only take part in talks pertaining to Yemen in Warsaw. This is an indication of the US failure in its attempts to organize an anti-Iranian consensus to further pressurize Iran.

Nevertheless, certain opposition social media to the Islamic Republic have started a pro-summit wave on twitter and other social media outlets to create a trend pretending to support the anti-Iran summit. But BBC Monitoring, tracking broadcast, press and social media sources, revealed in a tweet this morning that these tweets are artificial and not the real view of Iranians.
