(Persia Digest) - Iranian cinema’s week in the city of Santa Marta, Spain, has created an opportunity for its citizens to get to know the works of Iranian film makers.
Movies “A Cradle for Mother” (Panahbarkhoda Rezaee), “The Painting Pool” (Maziar Miri), “Khoros Jangi” (Masoud Atyabi), “Gold and Copper” (Homayoun Assadian) and “So Close, So far” (Reza Mirkarimi) will be released in Santa Marta from Tuesday, 12 to 28 June.
The aim of screening these films is to present a different style of living from Western ways and to get acquainted with the everyday events of every part of the world, which is expressed in a different interesting cinematic narrative.
As per Persia Digest’s report, “Gold and Copper” won the Crystal Simorgh for Best Actress at Fajr Film Festival in 2010.
“The Painting Pool” won the 2014 Best Actor Award at Lisbon Film Awards.
“So Close, So far” won the Crystal Simorgh for the Best Film, Best Music and Best Cinematography in 2004.
