(Persia Digest) – The fact that the National Iranian Football Team (Team Melli) has managed to make the World Cup for the second time in row is attractive enough for its supporters to flunk to its qualifying matches. As reported by “Shahrvand” newspaper, World Cup ticket in the first instance have been going like hot potatoes both inside Iran and overseas. Those who have not been able to find tickets at this point are impatiently waiting for the second stage of ticket sales to watch the skills of Carlos Queiroz’s team.

MARCA Spanish sports newspaper has made an interesting prediction of the number of Team Melli fans coming to watch the Iran-Spain match. According to an article published in the newspaper, Spaniards have not greatly welcomed the qualifying matches of their team for the Russia Cup 2018. This has led to MARCA predicting that Team Melli fans will outnumber Spanish fans at the Kazan Arena.

As of today, 5200 tickets have been sold via registration on the Iran football Federation website. 2400 tickets have also been sold online on the FIFA site to Iranians.

On the whole, ticket sales to Iranians in the first stage have soared. The second and third stages will surely follow the same trend by Team Melli fans who will rush to support their team in the World Cup 2018 in Russia. MARCA’s prediction may well come true and the Spanish team may be a guest in its meeting with Team Melli, because Kazan Arena will be taken over by Iranian fans.
