(Persia Digest) - An official of the Armenian government has said that the three-way agreement for the Turkmen gas pipeline through Iran to Armenia is on the agenda for negotiations between the three countries.
As reported by the Armenian news agency, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Shavarsh Kocharyan, has said: “The project was discussed in October when Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan traveled to Iran. The issue is not so much about gas supply, but gas exchange.”
Based on the proposal, Armenia will send Turkmenistan goods or money depending on the content of the contract, Turkmenistan will supply Iran with gas, and Iran will export the same amount of gas to Armenia
