(Persia Digest) – Iran’s Youth Greco-Roman Wrestling Team have won 2 gold, 2 silver, and 2 bronze medals to take the world championship title for the third time.

The championship took place 6-8 July 2018 in Zagreb, Croatia. Medal winners for Iran were Amir-Hossein Khansari and Mohammad Nosrati (2 gold) in the 55kg and 92kg categories, Sajjad Abbaspour, and Shahin Bodaghi (2 silver) in the 48kg and 60kg categories, and Hossein Ghasemi and Mohammad Naghousi (2 bronze) in the 65kg and 80kg categories. The team won the championship with 130 points. The Russian and Turkish teams were runner ups and third with 106 and 91 points respectively.

Iran’s young Greco-Wrestlers came first in the world for the third time. Iran’s Youth Free Wrestling Team also won the world championship a few days ago for the first time after 22 years.
