SAIPA Group CEO stated that Citroen SUVs will also be added to the company’s production basket in Iran.
During Jahrudi’s visit to the Citroen research center in France, the two sides negotiated the transfer of technical knowledge to Iran and turning Iran into an exports hub for Citroen in the world. Iran will become the world’s second largest country for Citroen production after France.
The CEO of SAIPA said this joint venture between SAIPA and Citroen has different stages during which new cars will be manufactured and exported simultaneously in France and Iran in the future.
The grounds for this new cooperation between SAIPA and Citroen were laid during a visit to Iran by PSA CEO and Chairman of the Managing Board, Carlos Tavares. On the day the contract was signed, he announced that Citroën planned to produce high-quality cars that meet the needs of the Iranian market and exports to foreign markets.
