Iran becomes world mathematics champion

(Persia Digest) - Elite Iranian students have won the WMC in the UK.

The championships were staged in six different countries simultaneously. Participants included students from the US, Bulgaria, India, and Australia. Iranian students from all age ranges also took part to win 30 gold, 38 silver, and 39 bronze medals and the cup. Another three individual cups and eight aural medals were also won.

Thirteen were also selected to participate at the summer camp for the second, final stage of the tournament which will take place in Melbourne University, Australia, next year.
