(Persia Digest) - The head of Iran National Carpet Center (INCC) considers the US move to put Iranian hand-woven carpet on its sanctions list a violation of international protocols, and says it will file a lawsuit with international tribunals against the US president.

"Hand-woven Iranian carpet belongs to the Iranian nation, and the US President has wrongly sanctioned the art-industry, which is a symbol of culture and intellectual property of the Iranian people." Fereshteh Dastpak said.

"According to international protocols, what belongs to a nation could not be sanctioned. Therefore, we hope that we can remove hand-woven Iranian carpets from the US sanctions list through the international protocols and conventions of which the center is a member." Dastpak added.
