(Persia Digest) – Her father is a unique vocalist and the backbone of classical Persian singing. She accompanied him for long years as his graphic artist, designing covers for his albums until the “Shahnaz” ensemble took shape and she was able to show that she had inherited her vocal chords from her father.
Mojgan accompanied his father in the Shahnaz ensemble with vocals and instrument playing, showing that a good voice was a Divine blessing in their family and a great legacy by a father like Master Mohammad-Reza Shajarian.
She also performed with the “No Ayin” ensemble for a time – a band whose performers lived mostly outside Iran. She also went on stage with the prominent “Shahrzad” quartet in Sweden.
Mojgan Shajarian has always sung for her country and homeland as seen in the Arghavan concert and her compositions. These days, she is endeavoring to bring the beautiful vocals of an Iranian lady and the sound of her instrument to the world.
