(Persia Digest) – The renowned Turkish author, Orhan Pamuk, has been invited to the Book Fair in Tehran. He will be present on the Fair grounds on Tuesday.
Orhan Pamuk is a 2006 Nobel Prize Laureate in Literature. He will be attending the 31st Tehran International Book Fair this coming Tuesday.
He accepted an invitation extended to him by Ghoghnous Publishers for a 3-day visit to the Iranian capital. He will attend the Book Fair during his visit and has meetings arranged with a number of Iranian authors and translators.
Orhan Pamuk is a popular author with many fans among Iranians. Many of his titles have been translated into Persian. In one of his notes on Iran, Pamuk had previously mentioned that he would have liked to be an author from Iran.
His titles include “Cevdet Bey and his sons”, “The white castle”, “My name is red”, “The black book”, “A strangeness in my mind”, and “Other colors”.
