(Persia Digest) – The aqueducts of Qasabeh Qanat of Gonabad is a registered world heritage which has its own website now (www.QasabehQanat.com) to provide more information for tourists.

The website provides all the necessary information and the latest news, images, and films on the aqueducts and other attractions in the city of Gonabad, like handicrafts, finding tour leaders, and accommodation. Viewers can also have a virtual tour of the aqueducts.

The website is currently in Persian and English, to which Arabic, German, and French will be added soon.

Persia Digest reports that the Qasabeh Qanat of Gonabad are in northeastern Iran. they are the deepest and oldest aqueducts (Kariz) in the world dating back to 2500 years ago. This was listed as a Unesco World Heritage in 2016.

The aqueducts are over 33kms long and the mother well is 300 meters deep. It provides over 130 liters of water per second.
