(Persia Digest) - The Roudaki Arts and Culture Foundation and the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory have signed an MoU. Among the clauses of this memorandum of understanding are: The organization of music courses and workshops, exchanging music teachers and students, organizing concerts, and the joint production and performance of music.
The memorandum was signed at the first session of Iran-Russia Joint Cultural Cooperation Committee between Ali-Akbar Safipour, Managing Director of the Rudaki Arts and Culture Foundation and Alexander Sergeyevich Sokolov, the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory rector, at the Ministry of Culture in Moscow.
The main concern of this agreement is furthering mutual cooperation in education, research, production and performance of the finest musical pieces.
Cooperation on conducting scientific researches in the parties’ fields of interest, cooperation in organizing courses and music workshops in Iran and Russia, and assistance in exchanging music teachers and students, are among the clauses of this memorandum of understanding.
Other points agreed upon are the staging of Iranian and Russian music concerts in the two countries, as well as the production and joint performance of music.
The memorandum was signed on the sidelines of the 14th Iran-Russia Joint Economic and Trade Cooperation Commission in Moscow.
Iran-Russia Joint Cultural Cooperation Committee was headed by Abbas Khameh-Yar, the Deputy Head of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), and the Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation.
Roudaki's Arts and Culture Foundation, as one of the major custodians of music, is in charge of the Tehran Symphony Orchestra and the Iranian National Orchestra.
