(Persia Digest) – The German Schiller Band landed in Iran on 28 February for a concert they will be holding at the Ministry of the Interior Hall from 4-6 March 2018.
Band leader, Christopher von Deylen, and his group will be performing new tracks in Tehran, including a piece called “Berlin-Tehran” especially composed for this trip. The band’s first concert was held in Tehran in December 2017 over five nights.
They have returned here in less than two months. This is what Christopher von Deylen had to say about their performances in the capital: “Our first 5-night concert in Iran was unforgettable. It was an excitement-filled time for us and our fans. We have returned for an encore and I am very happy to be going on stage again for three nights in Iran.”
He added: “I received many encouraging messages on Instagram from the audience who said they had really enjoyed our first concert in Tehran and I would very much like to thank our Iranian fans.”
He also spoke of their repertoire for the March concert, and explained: “We will be performing our new music this time. We will also be playing a new track called “Berlin-Tehran”, composed especially for our Tehran concert.”
He compared “Berlin-Tehran” with “Berlin-Calcutta”, and said: “This is also very rhythmic and I believe it will be liked by our audience.”
Von Deylen continued by saying: “At the previous concert, I realized that Iranian fans preferred faster rhythms and enjoyed them more. So, I have chosen our faster tracks this time for a more enjoyable entertainment.”
