(Persia Digest) - Solo exhibition of Kurosh Golnari’s collection of 15 sculptures, entitled "Silence", will open on Saturday, 12 May, in Dubai's 1 × 1 Gallery.
The exhibition is the result of the artist's five years of work. This collection explores the character of women in Iranian culture. The study of various characters and the searching process offered in each character is one of the hallmarks of the exhibition.
The similarity of these faces with religious ritual icons is one of the characteristics of this collection of works. The use of various materials and size variations is another aspect of these works.
The collection of sculptures is displayed in the form of installation art, and will be on view until June 30.
"Sultan-e Shahir" from the collection of Kurosh Golnari’s “Salaatin”, which was purchased for the permanent collection of the LACMA Museum, is featured at Iran Art Exhibition at LACMA Museum.
The Iran Art Exhibition opened on Wednesday, 2 May, at LACMA Museum, Los Angeles, and will run until early-September this year. The exhibition features works by past generations and several works by Iranian contemporary artists such as Parviz Tanavoli, Kurosh Golnari and Siamak Fili Zadeh.
