(Persia Digest) – The Russian luxury train “Golden Eagle” drove into Iran yesterday 4 November 2017, bringing with it thirty tourists. It will travel to Tehran, Mashhad, Kerman, Rine, Yazd, Isfahan, Sa’adat Shahr, Shiraz, Kashan, Qom, Arak, Shush, Garmsar, Veresk, and Pol Sefid.
Tourists from Russia, the UK, the US, Australia, Germany, Norway, and the Philippines will be touring Iran for twelve days on this trip. The tour will end in Tehran on 14 November.
The “Golden Eagle” made its way into Iran yesterday simultaneously with the 22nd foreign train bringing their visitors to this country. The luxury train offers all the services of a five-star hotel on wheels. It has traveled from the Russian capital to the Iranian capital in eighteen days, crossing Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan and covering the ancient cities of Baikonur, Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, Ashgabat, Marv, Mashhad, Mahan, Kerman, Yazd, Isfahan, Persepolis, Shiraz, and Tehran from start to finish.
Iran is seeking to connect to its neighboring railway networks to initiate new routes for tourists to travel on from near and far. Plans have even been drawn to have regular train trips from countries such Germany in the near future.
