(Persia Digest) – The Head of Iran’s Cultural Heritage Organization has announced that two other bust rock reliefs of Achaemenid soldiers have been found, saying: “We found out that two other bust rock reliefs similar to the one returned to Iran also exist. We are presently doing the paperwork for their return. One of them has now been accurately traced.”
Ali-Asghar Munesan added: “Three such rock reliefs exist. One has been returned to Iran. Two others were also stolen from Persepolis which have now been traced.”
Persia Digest reported that when the Iranian President returned from the last UNSC General Assembly in New York on 27 October, he brought back the Achaemenid soldier which had been illegally taken out of Iran around 80 years ago.
