Billion dollar foreign investment in Iran tourism

Deputy Director for Planning and Investment of Iran National Heritage Organization said: “During the past five years, we have been able to have one billion dollars of foreign investment in Iran’s tourism industry for approved projects. From this amount, 300 million dollars have so far been absorbed in Iran’s tourism sector and the remaining is in the process of being invested.”

80% growth in Iran’s non-oil exports to ASEAN

Iran’s non-oil exports to the Association of Southeast Asia Nations “ASEAN” had a growth of 80 percent in 2017 as compared with a similar period last year. As reported by Persia Digest, in 2017 Iran had more than USD 1280MM of non-oil exports to ASEAN member countries. In 2016, this figure stood at USD 711MM. Showing an 80% growth in Iran’s non-oil exports to ASEAN as compared with the year before that.

Persian carpet showroom and shop in Jakarta

32 crew members lost in tanker collusion with Chinese ship

An Iranian tanker has been involved in a collusion with a Chinese ship in the East China Sea. The lives of the 32 Iranian crew are feared lost. The 30 Iranian and two Bangladeshi crew members aboard the Iranian tanker are missing, feared dead. Kasra Nouri, PR Manager of the National Iranian Oil Company, announced: “The tanker belonged to the Iranian fleet and was carrying condensate. The ship and its cargo are covered by a credible insurance company.”

Baghcheban father of the deaf

Jabbar Baghcheban is known as the father of the deaf and hard-of-hearing in Iran. He is the founder of the first school for the deaf in Iran, which he established in the city of Tabriz and called it “Baghche-ye Atfal” [The children’s garden], and thus became known as “Bagcheban” [gardener]. He passed away in 1966.
