100 investors at IEIO 2017
The management of Iran Economic & Investment Opportunities Forum has announced that its meeting has hosted 100 foreign investors and over 300 Iranian investors.
The young 10-year old Iranian boy, Hossein Atayi Sangrudi from Karaj has already 16 inventions in his portfolio. Six of these are in the process of being registered. His inventions include the VTOL three-modality drones, gunboats, office furniture, miniature sprayer, multipurpose control for smart TVs, and so on.
In an interview with Persia Digest, Adib-Moghaddam said: It is imperative that Iran gets even closer to the EU, not least to keep the communication with Washington going, and to minimize misperceptions.
The German Schiller Group Concert is taking place in Tehran for the first time. Christopher von Deylen, will be traveling to Tehran with his Group for the first time in mid-December to stage a concert at the Hall of the Ministry of the Interior over two nights on 11-12 December, at 21h30.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister elect , Imran Khan, is planning to travel to Iran on his first official trip in office. This will take place after his inaugural ceremony on 18 August.
The Head of Iran’s Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organization announced: “Tourists are no longer required to go to Iranian embassies for visas. They can apply online and travel to Iran once their application has been reviewed.”
Mehdi Shaddel writes in The National Interest that the recent exchange of barbs between Iranian president Hassan Rouhani and Donald Trump has given rise to speculations about a potential North Korea-style rapprochement between Iran and the United States following the latter’s unilateral withdrawal in May from the 2015 Iran nuclear agreement, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). Such speculations partly stem from the fact that Trump and several high-ranking members of his administration, most recently Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, have underscored America’s readiness for a new round of talks on Iran’s nuclear programme and its regional behavior.

Krishnadev Calamur writes in The Atlantic that sixty-five years ago this week, a CIA-backed coup toppled Mohammad Mosaddegh, Iran’s democratically elected prime minister. The goal of the coup was to strengthen the hand of the West’s ally Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. On Thursday, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced the creation of a new Iran Action Group to coordinate U.S. policy toward the Islamic Republic in the wake of the U.S. withdrawal from the nuclear accord with Iran.
