(Persia Digest) – Iran’s National Futsal Team has won Japan 4-0 in the finals of the AFC Futsal Championships to become the champions of the Asian Continent for the 12th time.
The AFC Futsal Championships opened in Taipei on Thursday 1 February 2018 with 16 teams. Iran and Japan reached the finals in which Ali-Asghar Hassanzadeh scored in mins 19 and 33, Farhad Tavakoli in min 23, and Hossein Tayebi in mins 39 for Iran.
Iran’s group included Iraq, China, and Myanmar. Iran beat all three teams to meet Thailand in the quarter-finals and Uzbekistan in the semi-finals.
Sepehr Mohammadi, Alireza Samimi, Farhad Tavakoli, Alireza Rafiei, Mohammad Shajari, Mehran Alighadre, Ahmad Esmailpur, Ali-Asghar Hassanzadeh, Ghassem Oruji, Mahdi Javidi, Moslem Olad-Ghobad, Hossein Tayebi, Saeid Ahmad-Abbasi, and Mohammad-Reza Sang-Sefidi were the 14 team members playing for Iran.
