(Persia Digest) – A bilateral cooperation agreement has been signed between Iran and GRS of Germany in the presence of German Ambassador to Iran, Michael Klor-Berchtold, and the Head of Iran Nuclear Safety Center, Hojatollah Salehi.
The agreement aims to improve the potential of the Center for Nuclear Safety in Iran. This was signed in June 2017 following a visit by GRS directors to Iran.
The cooperation between the two sides will include the setup of nuclear safety codes, personnel training, and the exchange of experiences in building a nuclear safety center.
The Center in Iran has already begun cooperation with the EU and the Swiss Federal Nuclear Safety Inspectorate - the regulatory supervisory authority for nuclear safety and for the security of nuclear installations.
