(Persia Digest) – An Aseman Airlines plane which left Tehran for Yasuj with 60 passengers on board this morning and disappeared from radar for hours has crashed near Semirom.
The Head of the emergency services in Iran announced that the plane carrying 60 passengers had crashed near Semirom after it disappeared from radar early this morning. The plane was traveling from Tehran to Yasuj.
No news is available from the passengers yet. Emergency services are on standby to rescue any survivors. The plane has crashed in a mountainous area which cannot be reached by ambulances. A helicopter has been dispatched to the crash scene.
