(Persia Digest) – Tehran’s 7th Video Games Festival will hold its closing ceremony on 10 March 2018.
Twenty international and fifteen national judges will be selecting the best games out of 190 games submitted. In this year’s edition, as in all other international festivals in this field, the judges will select games in the main genres. These include 18 video game writings, 20 PC games, and 152 mobile games, who will be competing for the top awards at the Festival.
The largest number of games submitted are the simpler games in 55 titles (32%). This is followed by 41 action genres, 20 strategy and management genres, 17 sports genres, 13 adventure genres, 10 platform games, 4 action adventures, and 3 role playing genres.
The works submitted to the Festival will be categorized into eight different genres. The panel of judges will select Iran’s top video game of the year out of these in every genre.
In addition to the panel of judges, the game of the year from the viewpoint of the people is also an important section of the Festival. Game players have been selecting their favorite games, the deadline for which is 24 February.
