(Persia Digest) - “Tiki-taka” by Atila Pesyani will go on stage at Termeh Festival in Germany on 1 March 2018.
The play was staged in Tehran six years ago. Termeh Festival in Munich is hosting the play next month.
The play has been designed and written by Atila Pesyani and performed by the playwright and Khosro Pesyani at the Black Box playhouse in Munich.
Termeh Festival is mostly host to Iranian music bands and films. This year, it has also extended an invitation to the Iranian theatre company to perform Tiki-taka.
The play tells the story of a father-son relationship. The son has recently returned home from the States and is seeking his father’s blessing for a sex change. Tiki-taka is a term originally coined by FC Barcelona football club and is a highly accurate style of short passing and retaining the ball. In a broader sense, it represents the meaning of life and mutual understanding.
The theater company is traveling with its assistant director, Amir-Hassan Davani, and technical designer, Ankido Darash.
