(Persia Digest) - South Korea will invest in the construction of a solar power plant in Zarandieh, central Iran.
A South Korean delegation visited an area in Markazi Province, Iran, where a solar power plant is to be built, reported China's Xinhua News Agency.
An area of 28 hectares has been allocated for the implementation of the project. The South Korean side will finance USD 4MM, which amounts to 70 percent of the total investment required for the construction of the solar power plant, and the Iranian side will undertake the rest.
The power plant with a production capacity of 17 megawatts of electricity will be constructed in 15 months.
Aside from South Korea's interest in financing this project, a South Korean economic organization announced that it plans to establish South Korea's technology centers in Iran and several other countries.
According to the Small and Medium Business Administration (SMBA), one of the target markets of this organization is Iran.
SMBA stated in a detailed report that small and medium enterprises should seek to enter other Asian countries’ markets, including Iran.
