(Persia Digest) – In the latest rankings of the International Karate Federation, Hamideh Abbas-Ali and Bahman Asgari have moved up by three and four ranks respectively to join the list of the top ten karatekas in the world in their corresponding weights.

The official IRNA News Agency reports that Hamideh Abbasi, winner of women’s 68kgs category silver medal at the Karate World Championships in the Netherlands, has ascended to 7th rank with 2087 points, and Bahman Asgari, winner of men’s 75kgs category silver medal at the Karate World Championships in the Netherlands, moved up to 4th rank with 3490 points.

The ranking also includes Sajjad Ganjzadeh in 6th place in the 84kgs category with 3827 points. Amir Mahdizadeh is in 5th place in the -60kgs category with 3542 points, and Zabihollah Pourshib ranks 6th in the -84kgs category with 2922 points as in previous months.
