(Persia Digest) – A spring bubbling up from the heart of a mountain in the scorching heat flows down to create a beautiful waterfall called “Fadami”, a 130kms southeast of Darab in Fars Province, southern Iran.
One of Fadami’s very special features is the four hot and cold, and salty and fresh waters that flow and mix together at a distance of 20 meters from the fall drop, to gather in a natural pool in this gorgeous landscape.
The salty Fadami waterfall, flowing above the fresh waterfall, has a 10 to 15-meter drop. The source of the salty waterfall is 500 meters before the drop, surrounded by palm trees adding to its beauty.
The fresh Fadami waterfall springs at a distance of one kilometer further up the fall and drops from a height of around 12-20 meters into a permanent river. It is a source of fresh drinking water for the city of Fadami and its surrounding villages.
Another amazing feature of the waterfalls is that the fresh water one is very cold in the summer and warm in the winter, while the salty water is the exact opposite.
