(Persia Digest) – The “Kermanshah Earthquake Artworks” exhibition has opened at the “Idée Gallery” [Idea Gallery] with the works of eleven international artists in Tehran.
Fifteen posters designed by artists from Holland, Switzerland, Hungary, South Korea, China, Mexico, Ecuador, Indonesia, the UAE, and Ukraine are on show here.
The call for the submission of photographs, posters, and illustrations was announced last winter by the “Idée School”. The exhibition will run 6-20 April 2018 with the selected pieces.
Over one-hundred works were submitted to the exhibition, out of which 41 of the 50 selected artworks have been showcased. The panel of judges included Abbas Mashhadizadeh, Behzad Shishegaran, Arash Soltanali, Onish Amin-Elahi, and Omid Shalmani. The selected works have been published as a booklet.
The exhibition includes three illustrations, 30 graphic designs, and 8 photographs.
This has been staged as a competition. In the photography section, the photo entitled “Bodies” by Bahareh Darrehshuy, and “Mosque and lights”, and “Face and wall crack” by Siamak Namvar won 1st to 3rd prize respectively. In the graphics section, 2nd prize went to Farnaz Nasirpour for her work “Rice sweets”; third prize went to Mona Vafa in this category for her work “Oil lamp”. No 1st prize was awarded here by the judges.
