(Persia Digest) – Iranian football star, Alireza Jahanbakhsh, has played his most brilliant game yet at the Dutch premier league games. The young footballer from Iran’s Team Melli was able to score three goals in mins 12, 46, and 53 against the Vitesse team to play a very special part in the AZ Alkmaar club’s 4-3 win, taking it into the UEFA Champions League.

Following a hat trick by another Iranian footballer, Reza Ghouchan-Nejad, in the 2016-17 Dutch football season, Jahanbakhsh is the second Iranian star who has managed to score three goals in European club games.

Jahanbakhsh also set another record after 34 years by becoming the second player in the history of the AZ Alkmaar Club scoring 18 goals in one season. The record was previously held by Dutch Rick Talan in the 1983-84 matches with 20 goals in one season.

With only two weeks left to go until the end of this season’s football league games in Holland, Alireza Jahanbakhsh has become the top goal scorer for the country. Second place is taken with 16 goals. The Iranian star of Alkmaar is also the most valuable football player of this year Dutch league with 12 assists in the table.

Alkmaar is said to have reached agreement with Italy's Napoli football team to transfer Alireza Jahanbakhsh in the summer.
