(Persia Digest) – A Persian language and Iranian cultural center has opened in Nebrija University Spain through the efforts of Allameh Tabatabei University.
Dr Hossein Salimi, President of Allameh Tabatabei University, told ISNA News Agency: “This is the first Persian language center which has opened in a Spanish university. As the coordinator of exchanges between Iranian and Spanish universities, Allameh Tabatabei University has taken a big step in promoting Iranian culture and the teaching of Persian here.”
He added: “This center takes Persian teaching and Iranian culture to the next level in Spanish universities. We hope this will be a successful step for more cooperation between Iranian and Spanish universities to establish further classes to teach Persian.”
According to the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (MSRT) PR Department, Allameh Tabatabei University began talks with Nebrija University two years ago, leading to an MoU between the two universities to open the Khayyam Persian language center in Madrid.
