(Persia Digest) – Perhaps one of the best events taking place at the 36th Fajr International Film Festival is the workshop of American producer Oliver Stone which will be held in Tehran as from tomorrow.
Oliver Stone has landed in Iran and is currently visiting Isfahan. He will return to Tehran tonight, 22 April 2018.
The American writer and filmmaker has come to Tehran at the invitation of FIFF and is now visiting the city of Isfahan. He won an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay as writer of Midnight Express (1978). His “directing” workshop will be on the fifth day of the Festival, on Monday 23 April, at the Charsou Cineplex.
To date, he has produced over twenty feature films, some of which have been the most influential and important films of recent decades. These include The Midnight Express, Scarface, Platoon, Born on the Fourth of July, Money Never Sleeps, Salvador, Heaven & Earth, Nixon, JFK, The Doors, Wall Street, and Snowden.
