(Persia Digest) – The winners of the 20th Sarasota Film Festival have been announced. The Iranian feature “Lunch time” is also on the list.
The Sarasota Film Festival has announced its winners in ten categories, and the Best Short Film Award has gone to “Lunch time” by Alireza Ghasemi.
The short film is about a young girl who has to identify her mother’s body at the coroner’s.
“I’m not a witch” by Rungano Nyoni won Best Feature.
“Minding the gap” by Bing Liu won Best Documentary.
The Jury Award Independent Vision Competition went to Milford Graves for “Full Mantis”.
The 20th Sarasota Film Festival ran from 13-22 April 2018 and is one of the top 40 festivals in the US which takes place in Florida and California every year.
