(Persia Digest)- Iran’s youth volleyball team succeeded in winning the world championship title for Iran for the second time in ten years with a 3-1 win over Russia.

On the last day of the competitions in Manama-Bahrain, trainer Mohammad Vakili’s young team managed to win over its Russian adversary 25-20, 25-23, 25-21, breezing through the championships to take gold. The Russians won only one set 25-21.

It was Coach Stokovich who took Iran’s junior team to its first victory in Tijuana-Mexico in 2007. In all, Iran’s team lost no games in the 2017 World Championships, except for three sets in all the matches.
