(Persia Digest) – A group photo of Iran’s Team Melli in their suits has been widely seen on the social media, such as Twitter. The good looks of the Iranian football players has prompted the Daily Mail in the UK to report on this.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup will begin in Russia from Thursday. The Team Melli is already in Russia, getting ready for the game with Morocco.

The Daily Mail writes: “World Cup fever is set to officially take hold when the tournament kicks off next week - and those uninterested in the action on the pitch are taking comfort in the eye candy.

A photo of Iran's national squad looking suave in matching suits sent Twitter into meltdown when it was shared online.

The snap of the tall dark and handsome line-up was shared by Twitter user Aminatou Sow, who posted: 'All of a sudden very invested in the Iranian world cup squad'.

And it seems she's not the only person whose support Iran can now count on - as it's been liked and shared thousands of times by new fans who said the squad left them 'breathless'.

'This picture left me breathless,' said one Twitter user.

'Wow can't believe I will be watching the World Cup this year. Who am I?' another replied.

'Well all of a sudden I have a team to root for,' said another, while one person added: 'I have always been very supportive of football.'

The shot of the Persian team all wearing matching blue suits even lead some to suggest they were in the wrong place, and better suited to the line-up of US reality show The Bachelorette than the beautiful game.

The photo appears to have been taken on the same day as official photos of the squad snapped ahead of the World Cup tournament, which will see Iran take on Morocco in their first match next Friday.

A full group shot was posted on Team Melli's official account in Istanbul two days ago, before they started their journey to Russia.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup is taking place in Moscow, Russia and the Iranian team were the first Asian team to qualify for a spot in the prestigious tournament.

They landed in the country on Thursday evening to begin training at the Lokomotiv Bakovka Training Base ahead of their clash with Morocco”.
